Hello

My name is Veronica.

Veronica started her career as a Criminal Lawyer in Italy working daily with people with extremely stressful psychological conditions.

 

She moved to the UK in 1998 and became a psychologist. In 2003 she obtained a degree in Psychology, and in 2006 she gained a MSc in Counselling Psychology from City University.

From 2009 to 2011, Veronica received specialist training from the Institute of Psychiatry and the Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and in 2012 she obtained a Psychodynamic Psychotherapy MA from the University of Essex Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.

She has worked for the NHS in various capacities. From 2005 to 2008 she was a member of Lambeth Primary Care Team, working in various GP surgeries. From 2008 to 2011 she was a member of the first Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Service Team in the South London and the Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

From 2009 to 2011 she also worked in the Health Psychology Service at St. Thomas’ Hospital in the outpatient department dealing with chronic health conditions. From 2014 to 2018 she also worked as supervisor for trainees at the Wimbledon Guild.

From 2017 to 2020, Veronica worked for South London and the Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust - IPTT Lambeth in the MBT Team, which provides Borderline Personality Disorder patients 18 months of Mentalization Based Theory Therapy.

She has been working in private practice since 2004 to date.

Veronica is registered as a Practicing Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the statutory regulator of health, psychological and social work professionals in the United Kingdom, and is a Chartered Psychologist of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
